FAQ – What are the Maximum Run Lengths for Spiral Wound?

Transcript from Video

What are the maximum run lengths Spiral Wound liners can renew? The PVC profile is delivered to the job site on spools. Depending on the profile, a typical spool can have anywhere from 1,600 to 18,000 feet of material on it. SPR™EX, which is our small diameter method for applications between 6” – 42”, can handle run lengths of anywhere from 250 to 800 feet long, depending on pipe diameter. Due to the double locking configuration, subsequent spools of SPR™EX cannot be joined.

With SPR™TF which covers 40” to 60” and SPR™ which is 32” to over 200”, longer run lengths can be achieved since the spool ends can be joined. Typical run lengths for these two products are anywhere between 700 and 1000 linear feet. Longer run lengths can be done and would be evaluated on a project by project basis.
